Common questions

Where is my data stored?

Only on your phone. There's no account and nothing is uploaded. See the privacy policy.

How do I move my data to a new phone?

On the old phone, go to Settings → Export data → Full backup, and save the file to Files or iCloud Drive. On the new phone, tap "Restore from a backup" on the welcome screen, or Settings → Import data, and pick the file.

Can I get my data out as a spreadsheet?

Yes. Settings → Export data → Sets as CSV gives you a file with every set you've logged.

The rest timer doesn't alert me when the phone is locked.

TempoLift uses a notification for that. Check that notifications are allowed for TempoLift in the iPhone Settings app, and that Focus or Do Not Disturb isn't silencing them.

How are the suggested weights worked out?

Each exercise starts from what you did last time. When you finished every set with all its reps, TempoLift suggests going up by your increment, which you can change in Settings. Otherwise it suggests staying at the same weight.

Can I edit a workout I already finished?

Yes. Open the day in Progress, then tap Edit on the session to change the time, duration or any set.

Does TempoLift track runs?

TempoLift is built for lifting. Where available, you can connect Strava in Settings → Connections, and the runs you record there show up in TempoLift. You don't log runs in TempoLift itself.

How do I delete all my data?

Delete the app from your phone. Since nothing is stored anywhere else, that removes everything.
